Do you think that we will see the miniatures from the army box return in a Start Collecting box later this year? And maybe the Canoness too?
I didn't had the chance to get the AB last November, but I would like to add some more Sisters to my army. I was thinking on ordering a third BSS box, but if there is a chance that I could get some more unique poses for my army, I'm willing to wait for them

I’d wager on it. Options would be for either a £60 ish set comprising say the MP canoness, bss and a rhino, or they could reuse the collectors set models for the same price. The start collecting csm set probably comparable Accounting slightly for the bulkier chaos marines:

Hq chap (canoness)

10 marines (10 sisters, 3 arcos)

2 greater possessed (5 seraphim)

2 oblits (4 repentia and superior)

Venomcrawler (penitent)

Something like that anyway. I’d actually be pretty happy if this was the model they followed for sc sets going forward. Periodically release a vs set or collectors set with unique model sprues then rebox as an sc set later.

I agree with most of this, though I think a jetbike/speeder doesn't quite fit the sisters. Absolutely want a flyer though.

Also, I want a Lord of War. Huge centerpiece models are just fun. I don't care if it is a baneblade with an extra sprue added, I just want a mobile battle cathedral. Also be nice for sisters to have a LoW without losing sacred rites.

My worry about adding in frateris militia is that it would overshadow BSS, kind of like Chaos Cultists did in CSM for a while

Yeah, Lord of Wars would be great. I really like that floating church thing in that art piece in the Codex.

I always planned to kitbash a baneblade, a pair of imolator turrets and a pair of exorcist launchers. The model update takes the imolator turrets out of the equation- the old ones were far more suitable. The new exorcist kits would still work.

Another conversion I've seen uses the Fantasy Mausoleum kit; for us, a battle sanctum would be cool- you could even use it as a mobile sanctum.

If you wanted to recreate the hover church, you might be able to do it with parts of the Necron Monolith, and again the sanctum.

I have the previous edition imolator unassembled, plus an extra turret. If I sacrifice that for bits, I get my turrets for the baneblade plus the gear to sister up a valkyrie.

I built one years ago that had super heavy inferno cannon (main gun), sponson heavy flamers, hull mount and top sponson heavy bolters and an exorcist missile launcher. It was beautiful. This was back when they had the build it yourself rules. 6th ed? I think? Wish I still had it. What's cool is I have a couple of super heavies collecting dust that I can re-outfit, if I get bored. Have some church looking pieces could add for looks. Hmm?

Calgar101, I'm pretty sure I did too, just can't remember where, an old graphic novel maybe?

Sounds like a sweet conversion. Kind of a shame the Immolator/Excorcist arent a dual kit, as that'd leave leftover bits for a player to use for conversion purposes

I remember seeing in the Works In Progress forum someone was working on turning an Imperial Knight into an ecclesiarch’s or Dark Apostle (can’t remember which) walking pulpit/cathedral. It was a really impressive conversion, although I don’t remember seeing it finished and am unable to find it anew...

I saw on it on the Apocalypse40k forum, it's no longer up anymore however (I miss that website). A quick Google of Sisters of Battle super heavy has some good results.

Dread that looks really good, a double gun turret always looks great.

You are welcome. Always a shame to part with some models. I'm one for making up rules for cool models and such, being careful that they aren't over powered. I'll be starting a Sisters army soon but I'll also be adding Frateris Militia to it, lots of conversion work but I will also draft up some hoke rules for them. Already starting to think about a super heavy for them; a mobile cathedral with flames is springing to mind.

I guess the dream for each army would be that they have at least one gw/plastic lord of war / flyer / terrain piece.

Most armies achieve this these days but some still lacking. For example, even space marines of any flavour can’t field their own terrain piece or lord of war from the codex, yet orks tick all 3 boxes. Highly variable.

For sisters we have the terrain piece and I expect a fresh wave in the future would bring a flyer - lord of war would be amazing and I can’t think of anything more fitting than a cathedral on treads
