balordazul
So I have been the hobby for a while now and normally a I just go with pluck and pick foam for the range of my different armies. But AC definably have some easily breakable weak points on the models compared some other ranges. As times have changed what is your favorite storage method / transport case for your AC? Pluck and Pick, Battlefoam, KR, etc. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/362596-transport-and-storage-options-for-ac/ Share on other sites
Ania Redfang
If you can, magnets on the bases on a metal sheet is probably the best for this army as we don't have loads of models. I've used Really Useful Boxes with metal plates stuck into the bottom, works well. balordazul 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/362596-transport-and-storage-options-for-ac/#findComment-5491789 Share on other sites
Zephaniah Adriyen
My plan is to get an empty foam-slab case and a bunch of pick-and-pluck slabs. Gonna throw my Custodes and Eldar in there together. duz_
I'm probably going to go with a magnetic tray system for my custodes Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/362596-transport-and-storage-options-for-ac/#findComment-5491899 Share on other sites
Dallas Drake
You can buy sheets of a4 and a3 sticky back magnetic (they attract magnets but aren’t magnets themselves) on eBay. Buy some of them and stick them to a case or tray. Magnets in the bases of your models. Done. That’s what I’ve done & it works perfectly. balordazul 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/362596-transport-and-storage-options-for-ac/#findComment-5492579 Share on other sites
Prot
My Custodes are all in Battlefoam laser cut. The other blocks can be of the pluckable type, however I wanted the laser cut for the bikes. My bikes are fully magnetized but they don't store nicely and I really like the laser cut for the awkward shapes. I probably could have got away with something else, but I put a lot of time into these dudes so I didn't want to take a chance. Some of my armies really don't need it, but stuff like eldar flyers, serpents, Admech Skorpius tanks are all super finicky and are far away from a simple square design. It's usually those types of pieces that push me towards laser cut. balordazul 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/362596-transport-and-storage-options-for-ac/#findComment-5493882 Share on other sites
Shield-Captain
I haven't got much use of of it but my guys are in a Crystal Fortress cube. It fits most of them just fine but I have so many models the humpback case set (their largest) didn't fit all of my stuff. The Magnetic sheet is also really useful and I am tempted to order a few just to make cases out of other boxes I've used. I really think magnets are the way to go with out banana boys. balordazul and Waking Dreamer 2 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/362596-transport-and-storage-options-for-ac/#findComment-5494025 Share on other sites

balordazul
Well pulled the trigger on Battle foam as they are having a 30% ish off sale right now online as Adepticon is closed until the end of this weekend. Picked up about 10 items for a range of armies mainly picking up foam for units that are just hard to store, besides giving my AC a safe home.
