Is a Techmarine with conversion beamer now Legends only?

Just wondering if the the original Index option is still in play, or if the Beamer is now strictly a Legends option?

To actually answer the question... yes, you're correct. A Techmarine cannot take a Conversion Beamer unless you're using Legends rules.

Unless otherwise stated, the Legends document has replaced the Index ruleset. There's only a couple of things that didn't make the crossover, like the Lasplas/Plaserback :(

LasPlas are confirmed to be dead? That's a shame, I just finished painting one two days ago.

I would argue you can still use the Index rules for it, just be aware that it still dies on a plasma overload :facepalm:

 

FW still sell the upgrade, so perhaps it's an oversight.

They might release rules for a "Razorback Infrector" (or some other silly name) in the next Imperial Armour book maybe since Forge World is the one that makes the kit?
