Let's take another look at the Stalker Pack Detachment

I've found it's a great idea to really take a second look at old content in this era 2.0 codex/rules.

 

The relic and warlord trait from stalker pack...

 

With angel of death, the Saga of the Savage and that Relic upgrade to power axe is hella a beastly combo...especially on a battle leader riding a Thunderwolf with power axe and storm shield for a measly 101 pts.

 

5 attacks, str 5 ap -2 dmg d3, ws 2+, reroll 1s to wound, +1 to hit

 

Pop Touch of the Wild new stratagem...

You're going to average 2 natty 6s to wound. This is a major combo. It would be hard to not get the Saga buff every time he fights. That buff given to other calvary is brutal.

Well if you use this guy as the warlord it's a 1 cp cost out the gate then 1 cp for using the stratagem for 4+ extra hits...against most stuff you wont want to use the stratagem. But against stuff with storm shields, FNP and lots of wounds you can bank on this guy doing some real work on hard targets. I also expect most decent players who actually process what this guy can do will give him a lot of attention or avoid/screen him. At least hes pretty durable
