NinjaBadger7
Hi all :) With all the details from Saga of the Beast out in the wild now - what do you think is the best use of a Space Wolves pack box now - Grey Hunters, Blood Claws or Wolf Guard? Karhedron
I don't think anything much has changed for these guys. Most of the shiny new stuff is for Primaris infantry. I tend to like Grey Hunters with a plasma gun a WGPL with combi plas and maybe a melee weapon in there somewhere. Cheap, effective firepower and objective holders. Can do some work in melee at a pinch. Put them in a Razorback and they are good to go. Blood Claws are OK but you really need to build around them if you are serious about getting them into melee. A wolf Priest to buff them is worth considering and either Ragnar or some Wulfen to reroll charges and a larger transport for them. I haven't really tried running Blood Claw MSU but maybe others have had success with this. Wolf Guard are rather niche. They lend themselves to oddball builds like jump pack, Storm bolter and chainsword to clear chaff or JP, SB and Storm shield which is quite good for tarpitting dangerous units. Bulwyf
I would rather get Primaris Intercessors for troop options. They are our best troop option. TiguriusX
I think the best is an alpha strike melee deathstar unit of blood claws. Blood claws can have a 7 inch charge off a board edge if wolf priest litany is active. They are the most lethal troop tax unit we have IMO Synergize with wulfen and many stratagems as well barek 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/362812-space-wolves-pack-best-options-now/#findComment-5496708 Share on other sites
Rune Priest Jbickb
Side note that pack box is a pretty fantastic primaris upgrade sprue.... Wolf Guard Dan
Blood claws or Wolf Guard with jump packs. Blood claws are a troop choice that will get best use out of our super doctrine. Wolf guard with jump packs have a lot of flexibility and can carry the all-important thunder hammer. Valerian
I would rather get Primaris Intercessors for troop options. They are our best troop option. Or perhaps it's those Incursors; they're pretty great, too, from what I'm picking up. Bryan Blaire
Side note that pack box is a pretty fantastic primaris upgrade sprue....Even better if you get the Blood Claws box, two extra sprues for just $10 more.
