IronDreddKnight
I just wanted to ask a quick question about broadsides as i currently have 3 already.. How many is too many? Is a unit of 3 a sweet spot or spamming them viable? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/362872-broadsides/ Share on other sites
Panzer
A unit of 3 is perfectly fine I'd say. The real question is HRR or HYMP. HYMP is statistically better but HRR looks worlds better imo and with the prototype weaponsystem it's a decent choice for a unit too. Andrés Pacheco
Panzer nailing the solid advice once more. HRR prototype on a unit of 3 is a good combo of solid performance and way better looks. Andrés Pacheco
Yeah, the missiles are defo better in terms of pure numbers. If you've already got 3 HYMP, maybe try the HRR on your new order for some variation, now that PA prototype had made them pretty decent? Obviously depends on your play style / enjoyment of the game, and what else you bring to the table, but I think the prototype HRR has at least created some pause for thought when deciding, which is great. And battlesuits carrying massive underslung canons is hard not to enjoy! Panzer
Well another three Broadsides is kinda excessive but then again people also bring three Riptides so it's all about the kind of list you want to play. A list with 2x3 Broadsides will have a lot of firepower but will also be one of the least mobile lists T'au can bring since a lot of your remaining points would be dedicated to protect your non-Fly gunline. One of the reasons why Riptides are still the stronger choice.
