Dracos
Primarily I’m interested in a Raven Guard perspective but it seems this should have a HH trilogy? If so could someone point me to the author and titles please. If not why not :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/362943-is-there-a-massacre-of-istavaan-v-novel/ Share on other sites

Sandlemad
It crops up in a bunch of novels. Fulgrim, the last section of The First Heretic, the first half of Deliverance Lost, and a fair few short stories. Xenith
Raven's Flight is probably the best one. Dunno if the actual massacre needs the novels, there isn't much to tell. Raven's Flight follows Corax as he tries to survive for 1-3 months on the surface of Istvaan after the massacre, being chased by Angron and Perturabo. Fedor
There isn't one. The most extensive overview of the battle is the last few chapters of Fulgrim, with various shorts, a novella or two and parts of some later Novels like First Heretic, Vulkan Lives and Deliverance Lost having chapters based on it. If HH stays a setting i wouldn't mind a return to the Dropsite in a book or two. Maybe one focusing on the different legions getting the call and what was going on in some of their fleets as they made their way there...lots of opportunity for good character work there. A larger focus on the ground and especially space battle in a novel would have been nice too. It really should have got the Know no Fear treatment. MegaVolt87
Its spread out everywhere honestly. The better recollections are from the IH perspectives in the short stories IMO. I would recommend the FW HH black books for a better collated account of the drop site massacres.
