Nice build @arnesh88, I always thought the Warsmith model was only a few steps away from being a great loyalist sculpt.

My Destroyer sergeant now has some paint on him, though still lacks a head or jump pack...

Castraferrum looks ace with those missile pods @lokkorex

I think the model looks much improved with the helmet @Cadmus Tyro

Awesome work on that Land Raider @sarabando

From my side I have a basic Castellax who I will use as a bodyguard for my Magos allied to my Iron Hands. I had been using a trio with darkfire cannons, but they rarely achieve much and get targeted swiftly, which brings down the Magos too...

Some lovely hobbying being done here.

I ran out of steam on the table for the time being, waiting for my mojo to return. However, I've been slowly plugging through my back log, which means a whole Vostroyan Platoon (to be used as militia) and a Knight House. Gonna need to spend some money on armigers to make the Knight House legal for 30k.

I’ve got two active painting vows on here…

… so of course I spent the morning procrastinating by kitbashing some Iron Warriors, neither of which are involved in the painting vow!

I recently acquired some 3D printed basilisks that I’ve posted elsewhere on the forum, but one of the prints was worse than the others so the seller sent me another one for free. I was musing whether to make some kind of wrecked tank terrain feature, but I thought, the thing isn’t that bad and could be put to better use. So I decided it would make a nice Legion Basilisk, and if anyone is likely to field one, it’s these guys.

Kitbashed a tank commander and crew member, as well as an apothecary with my last pair of Forge World legs.

Primed and ready to go, paint still wet:

And now painted! The procrastination is real here! Although I have actually got started on the March for March too, which I’ll post about in that thread.

You can see a bit more clearly in these pictures why the print wasn’t quite right, especially the one below where you can see the weird lines at the bottom. Not too noticeable in a game though.

The Apothecary and gunner. Not the best paint jobs but with this army I’m all about speed:

I do wish I’d given the gunner a proper base now but I’m all out of 32mm bases so was planning to just glue his feet to the gunnery platform. I might still do that; can’t decide.

Trying to improve the new plastic Veletaris kit. I quite like the original Veletaris heads, so the new ones had to go. Pads and upper arms also carved out to allow the pads to sit properly and flush with the torso armour.

What do you reckon?

Cadmus

Some more wip Ultramarines, HQ this time :)

I have a couple of rules in my army, one is that every model must have a helmet, and every model has a raised Ultima symbol on the shoulder pad instead of a transfer. So here's a FW Praetor Tribune I bought a couple of years ago with a helmet and some ancient brass etch I still have laying around since *checks the date* 2005? Heh.

And here's my kitbashed / converted Master of Signals (he almost has a helmet...). The base model is the old finecast Master of Relics. Happy with him, just need to tidy up the greenstuff and apparently some mold lines eluded me.

Yeah, it wasn't the easiest but I enjoy the building part of the hobby so it was still ok for me.

For my own hobby efforts this month I got the Xiphon done. Awesome model but wish it was plastic.IMG20250322083948.thumb.jpg.2ddc5cb3d395c342159bb54a1ce1c585.jpg

I was hoping to do some Angel's Tears but they are still out of stock.

I love the Xiphon but have not heard good things about it, not as terrible as Storm Eagle/Fire Raptor, how was it to build?

It was fine. A couple of gaps but nothing too bad. I can now see a small one in the photo but it's not enough to worry me.

I don't have the aversion to resin that many do but I definitely think the plastic vehicles have been better kits than their resin predecessors. And now that I have completed mine I'm sure GW will reveal a plastic one.

Build me an Overseer.

In opposite to the rest of my Alpha Legion which is all about *we are legion" and very secret agent men theme I wanted my Overseer to look flamboyant, imposing, over the top and bigger than life to represent that he's not only herding meatbags into the battle but through his personality encourages them.

Here's another shot with head:

20250325_122755.thumb.jpg.930edaa36b07cb77802edce490c0ebc4.jpg

This was a good opportunity to actually use this -in my humble opinion- stupidly huge model. Everything on it is cranked up above the line. It's too big, the belt bucket looks like a WWE championship belt, the knobs on his shoulders are too big etc.

But for this role he is perfect.

And I could finally use this fancy hair head feom the FW heads set.

Look at his size:
