This was a good opportunity to actually use this -in my humble opinion- stupidly huge model. Everything on it is cranked up above the line. It's too big, the belt bucket looks like a WWE championship belt, the knobs on his shoulders are too big etc. 

But for this role he is perfect. 

And I could finally use this fancy hair head feom the FW heads set. 

Look at his size:

Great conversion. You’re right the size of that model is nuts. With the sword in the air he ends up taller than the contemptor. He’d make a good primaris captain as he fits right in with that scale.

 

Love the head and the different arm pose - much better.

Thx mate.

Since I play Alpha Legion I imagine his fancy hair and beard both are just wigs as well to make him look more imposing.

Because the rest of my army looks like this:

Unlluckily I ran out of mame plates amd habe to order new ones. When I started with them I only planned on doing 30 max so I ordered 50 to be sure but even that went out of the window in no time ;)

do I spy a Minotaur and a dual CB contemptor?

 

Curious as to how the dual Beamer contemptor performs on the table? Debating the next load out for an IH contemptor.

Very swingy. In my last game he couldn't see turn one due to night fighting¹ and did basically nothing after that and in the game before that he killed two terminators turn one with the middle profile (was inside of 42 inches) and blinded Endryd Haar and the Veteran squad he was in plus the already damaged terminators. 

 

¹That was the main reason I started to build these:

Funny enough I found a second Predator I had for decades lying around in a box. It was in a terrible shape so I had to do my best to amp it up a little bit. I removed the front with a scalpel and replaced it with this gorgeous Alpha Legion front plate I once bought for another project :

 

They're going to be a squadron and they hopefully bring light to the darkness. ;)

Oh and I made this because why not?

 

All of them are still mit work in progress but you know.

The heads, nipple shoulders, aome weapons and the backpacks are printed yes. I seriously don't remember where I got the Gecko shoulders. Could be Kromlech, could be FW, could be something else. :)

I am kind of a hobby butterfly but in the end I get a lot of done simultaneously.

Like I said my Inductii are painted as several different loyal dogs. One of them is Imperial Fists. These are the name plates I choose for them half a year ago or something like that.

 

The funny thing about my opponent of Tuesday is he started playing Imperial Fist two month ago and his name actually is Heinrich :D

 

Hopefully I get them ready till then and give him a little chuckle.

Someone (the Imperial Fist player I play against tomorrow) told me how he paints his IF and apparently I had to paint pink under yellow to make it popp so here we go:

Remembers me of EC tbh at this stage.

Skull is a transfer from the Cities of Sigmar. For a game covered in skulls I found it difficult to find one the right size.

Nice trick with the pink. I used to use orange basecoat for the yellow on my Ulthuan Eldar and that was also effective.
