Nonsense.

Show me what you've got.

Don't question your powers or you just power your questions!

I'm in the same boat as Agramar, building the last few members of a tactical squad then it's just 3 land raiders and I've got a 2k list build. Then it's just painting.

Do it!

To keep things going I flaunt my wip Death Guard tanks.

Disagree. Don't be afraid to put them up here. The hobby takes all kinds and all different skill levels.

I always feel like that too but I have never regretted putting photos up. Even when I see every tiny flaw and mistake the community is nothing but supportive.

Yeah, well, that's great, you know. Really good

BUT I still think don't deserve the effort. I'm not in the correct mood for doing that, nowadays.

Never been more proud to respectfully disagree. Seeing build in progress can still inspire your fellow hobbyists.

I’ve managed to build 3 of 5-man flamer squad. Pretty weak progress I know, but it’s something?

I can hear the screams of all the missles getting fired.

Great.

Progress is Progress. Well done.

Speaking of...

Alpha Legion Lernaean Terminators

Iron Warriors Heavy Support Squad

With respect to my previous comments about Bikers here are the prototype legs!

(L-R: default Mk. VII, modified to Mk. IV, modified to Mk. VI, and the Chaos Biker's Mk. VI)

Just got to do this twenty more times or so...

Recently finished my attempt at Julius Kaesoron, Captain of the First Company. I think he gets described as having lightning claws in Angel Exterminatus but I like to imagine he would have a plethora of weapons - hence the hammer & spear!

large.IMG_3078.jpeg.bc1a6f87eecb5a0eacecca6722cf36e3.jpeg

Well I had some time to hobby so I managed to prime my Tartaros command squad and the Praetor Tribune. I'm not aiming to build the most competitive or efficient army, mostly going for Rule of Cool instead, hence the Tartaros command squad instead of Cataphractii.

GKEs3wr.jpeg

Two hammers, two double lightning claws and a chainfist. The hammers and combi meltas are from a FW Cataphractii upgrade kit.

I can use the standard bearer as a Herald as well if I need to give some unit Line.

@CorswainOh baby those are gorgeous. :woot:

I played yesterday against a Titan.

So much fun!

IMG-20250430-WA0042.thumb.jpeg.e782eec16cf5565684548e7dbe27cef4.jpeg

It came down to the last shooting phase to my last unit left to shoot in the last turn if I win or it is a draw.

The Heavy Support Squad on the right with missle launchers needed to have two glamcing hits on the titan to take off her last two hull points to destroy her and win me the game. Otherwise it would have been a draw at 4:4 points.

I rolled and...

A draw!

Only hit once with six shots and did one hullpoint.

Hreat outcome for a great game which was the first game of HH ever for my opponent so the best way to start playing it.

Posted (edited)

Progress from the past few days. Just need to fiddle with magnets on the hull mounts, do the sponsons and finish the other bits and that's the last of my 2k list built. Then just painting.

Fix broken image

Got me some stuff today and build it:

Two Castra Ferrum Dreadnoughts.

This guy with fixed weapons

And than this one:

After them I builded a unit of EC Sunkillers to yoink for my Alpha Legion.

They can take an Aegis defence line as part of their unit and I already collected my old and trusty one and will re-paint it to match this unit.

2,000(and 1) points of SoH now built, to wage war at Warhammer World against some Iron Warriors and some Custodes at some point this year. Got some testers to do first as I've seen a few different ways to paint SoH and I can't decide whether the wash should by Nuln Oil, Coelia Greenshade or Terradon Turquoise.

Today I made some progress on my Solar Auxilia Rifle Sections and my Overseer.

20250503_214158.thumb.jpg.fa3a2735d253a3584f59b75176c50c55.jpg

I wanted to call it a day but then I painted the base color for the bases as well.

And for the Overseer

Now off I go to my bed.

In contrast I've painted up three testers for my SoH, but I'm thinking I went too heavy on my post wash layer as there isn't much difference between them.

large.20250504_161247.jpg.219db87f482445

All were black primer - SoH layer, wash (left - nuln oil, centre coelia greenshade, right very-thinned lupercal green) then drybrush SoH. Can't do highlight as I realised I've got the wrong green but I've now ordered it.

I like the one to the right the most, the other two give salamander/alpha legion vibes.

Just finished these five after pinning their feet to the bases:

Also a close-up of the first five of my tactical support squad with rotor cannons:

Need to trim the sabatons on the guy in the back so he more closely resembles the Master Of The Arsenal.

I just found this thread! Love what everyone is posting, this thing is a gold mine. There is so much good stuff on this thread and still so many pages to go through

Been working on my warband the Harbingers of Taelus (some proto-Sons of Medusa/30k Iron Hands). Got some bog-standard legionnaires, my praetor, and a Leviathan all painted up!

Looking forward to painting more!

Great to see this flurry of activity here recently! I can echo the others in saying that no matter how small the progress, it's always nice to show it! Here's the first half of my Destroyer squad, with close ups in my project log. The rest of the squad are up on the building table.

Those Kratos (Kratii/Kratoses???) look ace @Gorgoff you've got the Death Guard bone shade nailed down. The titan game looked like a tonne of fun too. I really like the dreads with the slung bolters as well, super retro.

I wouldn't want to be on the end of all that suppressing fire @lokkorex. Looking forward to seeing them painted up. The armour modifications of your infantry look super cool!!

Liking those 40k flamers @LameBeard such a different feel to the 30k style.

@SlickSamos those legs are looking good, already reading much less like MKVII

Kaesoron looks fantastic @Brother Kraskor

Gorgeous work on those Thallax @Corswain the scheme looks even better in numbers. Nice to see that it transfers well to the other models too.

Looks like a solid base for SoH @No Foes Remain though I agree that each looks very similar.
