derLumpi
Brothers, I call upon your collected wisdom! I recently aquired a Caestus Assault Ram - one of my favorite Marine vehicles. There is a lot of work to be done as there are a lot of parts that are bend. Now I had my fair share of resin kits big and small and I know how to get parts back into shape but there are parts that I really have no clue how to do it. The problem that I have is that there is a big resin block behind that won't be easily bend back into shape. How do I approach this? How do I get this big block back into shape? Any suggestions? No Foes Remain
Side-tracked myself from painting up my SoH by building a Mk2 and shoving a old style Mk2 head from Archie's Forge on him. Must say that I prefer it and will be needing a fair few more.... Not got a copy of the book yet but seen the capacity of the ram is 16, do Terminators (barring Saturnine, which I imagine take up more space) still take up two slots? Because I seem to remember the Ram going to 10 but no Misericord rule so I think we were stuck with 5 Terminators at one one point. sarabando 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/363129-30k-hobby-chat/page/163/#findComment-6126100 Share on other sites

Astartes Consul
God, I hope they bring the Caestus back into production somehow. Such a unique Heresy vibe. Now we have the Legacies, I'll be working on some Nemesis Destroyers in MKII armour this week I think. derLumpi 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/363129-30k-hobby-chat/page/163/#findComment-6126114 Share on other sites

Mana
More or less finished a recon squad. I'm still trying to understand the camera settings because the colors aren't quite right. The minis are of a darker blue than the one from the photo, is like the color balance is wrong, maybe the lightning from the room doesn't help. Anyway, I'm pretty satisfied with how they look. The painting scheme continues to be a wip, I'm slowly trying to refine the lightning on the armor. Since I'm using the new mk6, the poses aren't really meant for snipers, but it's good enough to me. The scopes were 3d printed, the silencers are 3mm rods of pine wood (had easy access to those), all of them have small black capes, but they can't be seen very well in the photo. The nostraman tarot cards I made from scratch. Next I'm gonna start painting a contemptor. In my queue I have a terror squad, a cata terminator squad and some night raptors, all of them will have flayed skin, skulls and tarot cards, I have been like practicing to get to do the full array of night lords "things". Also i did the base for the armiger: I paint so slow that I will get to paint more knights in 2030 haha (sad) SlickSamos, Brother Kraskor, PerfectChocolateMadeleine and 3 others 3 3 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/363129-30k-hobby-chat/page/163/#findComment-6126683 Share on other sites
SlickSamos
Terminators are coming along nicely! Brother Kraskor
Been a busy few days of hobby for me - starting on Monday I've managed to crack ten Mk2 tacticals, four Saturnine terminators, a Leviathan, and my rendition of Eidolon in Saturnine armour. Just need to finish the Eidolon book now! It's been a really fascinating insight into the psychology of his character, but outside of that it's a bit too much bolter-porn heavy for me (though I guess that is the foundation of the setting...!). brother_b, Khulu, Loquille and 5 others 5 3 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/363129-30k-hobby-chat/page/163/#findComment-6126933 Share on other sites

Cadmus Tyro
Not quite sure I like the Saturnine vibe, so I decided to have a go at modifying it a little. In my head cannon, I’ve accepted that the marine wearing the armour is just a torso, so it’s a stage before a dreadnought! What do you reckon? Gotta love some volkite…..
