Those look really cool @sarabando, what range are they from?

Trying to save myself £35 and make my own Overseer. He is a mix of different kits, went for a beakie so I can try a Rogue Trader-inspired Field Police colour scheme for him. Also, final Veteran for the tactical squad.

Brilliant. It's making me want to pull the trigger on an Ebay listing selling 5 Khornate bodies without arms and heads.

Lovely, just really cool.

Where does the ammo belt go?

Thank you! He is a Slaanesh worshipper so best not to ask :ermm: (actually, there is an ammo pack on his belt! It is part of the standard chaos space marine kit)

Thanks @derLumpi! Yes they are great kits. And the scale works well with modern HH bits, I have found a lot of parts are easy to swap.

I have finished this Reaver, made from a Berserker kit, who is about to get high score in an Arcade Whacking game!

Finished my breachers!

I did NOT like the squatty forgeworld breachers. Their helmets were some of the worst cast resin bits I have ever worked with... glad I didn't buy two boxes!

+ Harbingers of Taelus +

I'm really tempted to get the Crux Terminatus box and use it for Heresy. Thinking of adding them to a White Scar Keshig force but thinking Iron Hands or Salamanders might be fun ... that's not even getting into traitor legions!

Yeah the box is pretty nice and since its plastic the cheat eagles and crux terminatus are easily removable. I've seen people putting the assault or even tactical symbols on them which kind of makes sense in HH and it looked good. Third party sellers have very nice shoulder pads for terminators as well so I am really really tempted as well.

HH wise I didn't do much the last week but just in case I gave my Militia baneblade a hunter killer missle:

Baneblade

Have finished a couple more guys for my Scouring-era force. Firstly, another Reaver, with twin lightning claws. Will this guy be any good in the game? I have no idea, but at least he has a Beakie helm and top-knot!

Then the first of a Veteran Heavy Squad, armed with an Auto-cannon. I used the Chaos Havoc as a base and mother of God did those guys have a lot of Chaos symbology to remove. I gave him what I think is an old 40k Iron Hands head, thinking MK7 armour is OK by this point in the Scouring. The other parts are a mix of 30k bits, and altered Chaos backpack (this is before they randomly sprouted long arms on the heat/vent bits)

@Pacific81

Really great marines! Love the overall vibe!

Build a vox operater guy for a Calth veterans squad.

And finally ogres for my militia arrived. What a great kit. The only thing missing are some decent sized ogre shields.

So if you guys have an idea where to find some I would be grateful!

Dipping my toes into the Horus Heresy setting with some White Scars - got my first tactical squad assembled.

Couple of angles on the sergeant - he's got a topknot from Archie's Forge, and a "Guan Dao" from Pop goes the Monkey:

That is becoming an impressively large force there @W.A.Rorie !

I have made a fair bit of progress with a Rhino. I saw a photo of a WW2 German tank, during the retreat at the end of the war, and it was covered in stowage & equipment. I am trying to recreate that with SoH during the Scouring - basically the retreating marines have almost no supply lines and are just carrying what they can. I have used some WW2 Rubicon kits for some of it. Also some Zinge Industries side railings, which look like the old RT-era tank. Am looking at doing some tank riders as well, but will have to see if that is possible with converting bits + green stuff!

I built some field guns for my militia.

PXL_20250930_2030082252.thumb.jpg.7690d58e01ed7367e30de0fcb450eeeb.jpg

They are magnetized but I think I will get some more of those fantasy cannons as changing the guns is bit to fiddly for my taste.

And some more heavy support arrived.

Only the legs left to build.

I love your heavy pieces.

Really really cool models.

I as well build another model for militia:

my all terrain patrol trike.

I have four in total because I love those models and I guess they do st least some work on the battlefield.

Pain in the ass to build these models by the way.

Something I've done for my hobby today is print out the Legacies Document and Inductii pages. I cut about 130 pages by not printing legions I don't need.

I went to a print shop and printed out close to 100 pages for about $30 and hole punched by the printer. A cheap 3 ring binder finished it off. The funny thing is I just got the Liber Mechanicum book for not a whole lot more than the free pdfs. If I had printed the full range of pdfs like the Talons and the rest I would have spent well over the cost of a few Liber books. 3 pages B&W for a dollar is not a great deal.

So why print them? Its really very nice to have a book to look though of the unit entries. You can easily take out entries you don't use. Most people will only home print the units they own after all. You can have multiple full sized entries "open" to view at the same time if you want. That's like having 6-7 iPads after all.

@JeffJedithat is a really great idea and might be something I borrow! The books are indeed massive & heavy things. I see the NewRecruit webpage has the new unit profiles so am planning to use that plus selective photo copying/printing.

A few more WIP of my Rhino, just about finished the tank riders (held in place by blu-tac for now). Mostly used the chaos marine kits again, plus some arms from the bits box to get parts to line up. This is a reference to the classic RT-era rhino riders :)

I want to do the same thing but I would just print it out at work. I may put mine in sleeves so I don't have to hole punch them but if I print on front and back hole punch is already at work.

Really cool. I've always loved seeing tanks covered in dudes. It makes them really grounded and "lived in."

Very nice work.
