@JeffJedi I had the idea as well and probably gonna do it next week as well. It feels just better and is easier to handle at t he table to have them printed. In my case it will be the Imperialis Militia.

They won't change the pdf anyway so no worrier that it may be futile to print them and as you said it isn't that costly to do.

I even thought about converting them with proper background like the books in 1ed and a cover but that would be the fancy variant. Someone in a 2ed 40k server did this the other day with the oldschool necromunda rules and it looked awesome.

Speaking of awesome @Pacific81 that tank looks brilliant already.

I am still at the vevhicles for my IM.

That's two trucks to haul my dudes to the front. I bought them cheaply at some known chinese online shop. The quality of the print is questionable but still ok for playing.

The cool thing about those was that no glue was needed to actually build them.

The parts good just jamed together like that.

I also am building my second trike and those on the ither hands are a piece of work each...

Those look really cool @sarabando, what range are they from?

Trying to save myself £35 and make my own Overseer. He is a mix of different kits, went for a beakie so I can try a Rogue Trader-inspired Field Police colour scheme for him. Also, final Veteran for the tactical squad.

Awesome stuff, I think I might have seen some of these on insta also? It's answered the question of what to do with my shadow spear and post 2019 csm. I turned some into thousand sons, but still have a good few on sprue. Maybe a small SoH detachment!

I've been grinding away at several things in the background. Some painted, some primed and some just built.

First off is my painted Karacnos. Pretty happy with it but the aerials have been snapped off three times already.:wallbash:

Primed are my World Eaters Despoilers and Rampagers.

And finally my built. My son (4) has recently started naming my models so the Dread is Shoulderpads and the Praetor is Mr Toilet.

I am undecided on Legion for these but Mr Toilet is definitely giving Death Guard vibes.

You should translate the names into bastardised Latin like GW does.

So Mr Toilet would be Gaius Locus.

Gaius Locus sounds like a legit 40K name. It's happening!

Playing UM basically demands the player to mess around with their names.

Watching this reminds me one thing:

I need more,complete Mk5.

Makes me sad.

Been listening to a lot of Automatic Singer lately. Check out their songs Perfection, and The Ancient Awakes (yes, it's about Rylanor). It's been giving a lot of inspiration. Here's everything done for the third I've begun earlier in summer.

One ten man tactical squad, one ten-man melta support squad, an Ancient,-contemptor class specifically.

What's half done, a ten-man missile support squad. Next up, another tactical squad and a tactial support squad of ten calivers.

Finished another SoH Reaver, this one named "THWOOOMPP" Again based off the Khorne Berserker kit. I tried an electrical/arcing energy effect on the end of the Thunder Hammer.

Also another Tactical Veteran. A mix of Chaos kit, Heresy bits and Archie's Forge helmet. This one has prompted me to update my Profile pic for the first time in about 12 years!

I've completed a Consul Opsequiari (known colloquially as Field Police). In the game he will be used as an Overseer. I saw the Field Police unit came back in with the Heresy rulebooks (they do like to do those retro references, which I love) so thought this would be an opportunity to add one. I am hoping eventually to have some allied Imperial Army units - some cannon fodder that the Sons of Horus have picked up on their retreat from Terra, and are now using any and all means possible to escape. This guy will be walking behind them, to enforce the orders with his mace :)

Incidentally I did once make a unit of these for a Crusade-era Epic World Eaters army. Literally their only input in a game I played was to try and stop an Auxilliary beastmen unit from running away; we had a fun little special rule where they could 'execute' a unit to stop them fleeing, but there was a very small chance the unit would kill the Field Police. Which of course is what happened in the game, and the Beastmen finished off the Field Police unit! :)

But you will need some allied Solar to use it,right?

I love the miniature, the paint and the conversion.

It is an optional but not a necessity. I will probably get either some renegade guard or some minis for convicts (to represent the SoH clearing out the jail cells to use as cannon fodder) - but later on, when I have more marines!

@derLumpi - that is an awesome idea for thos shields, works very well!
