That looks very cool @Volgon, extremely thematic and you can tell he is a Night Lord even without any paint on him!

Finished my first War Hound officer, an Optae/Centurion. Going for a clean "we are still the good guys at this time" feel with them. Also another assault guy with some bits swaps.

Thank you both @Captain Idaho@Pacific81! The base model is the Lord Terminos from the Skaventide boxed set (not the stand alone sculpt they sell now, but the original sculpt still gets sold solo on ebay). I completely replaced the torso, and as it's an easy to build style model I had to hack a lot of it apart, but it's worth it for the pose!

These are really cool. Where did you get that power weapon?

Thank you! It was from my bits box, I believe the blade was underslung on a Chaos autocannon (from the Havocs), I attached it to a chainaxe handle. I'm using as a power lance in the game.

Finished my squad of Ogryns. They won't win a Golden Demon but I'm very satisfied with them. This was also my first time painting any battle damage.

Only the cavalry left to paint.

The one with the mask is my favorite.

Thanks brothers!

The kit is from Wargames Atlantic and I can't recommend it enough. It's versatile and the sculpts are great. I'm usually a 'magnetize-all-options' guy. But the kit has so many (apart from proper Shields) I just built and painted them to finish the squad until the end of the year.

Will have a look at that kit, cheers.

With a copy of the Siege Assault Box on order I'm going to jump back into hobbying.

Collecting up links of cool bits for kitbashing for my Sixth.

What's a good starting number of points for a small game that isn't Zone Mortalis (to help me plan my purchases)?

I'm still waiting for MkIV and Tartaros rescales and hopefully a Grey Slayer kit so will be  perhaps bizarrely mainly avoiding the SW specific units for the moment barring the HQs.

Got my box on order to, sounds like you got a few hobby irons in the fire.

I plan armies in blocks of 1000 points normally.

I used to do it in 500 points but couldn't work out if 1000 was incredibly small for Heresy 3.0.

However I've had a play with a 1000 point list and found something I'll be happy to build and paint whilst waiting for what I seriously hope (and expect, Tartaros all but confirmed, MkIV not guaranteed but makes sense. No timeline on either though haha).

Vibes seem to be 1000 pts minimum then in 500 pts chunks.  I'm being a muppet and going from 0 to 7000 in one go...  Going to start spraying this month!

Sometimes you have to just go off in the deep end! Good luck, what army are you doing?

The HonestHeresy (Youtube channel) events in Nottingham start at 750pts (with some other restrictions).

My group and I are starting with this for our new forces and jumping up in 250pt incremements.

But I guess 1000 > 1500 > 2000 would work equally well if you wanted bigger steps.

I salute you.

There was me thinking maybe Titans and even that would be an undertaking.

Fixed typo

I have finished my first War Hound tac squad. Going for early/mid Great Crusade look with armour types and minimalist decoration. We have been told both the WH and WE didn't stick to individual armour marks so I've tried to reflect this by giving them a mix.

I AM EXCITED.

Even if I now need to hunt down some parts to 'Sixth' them up sufficiently (which to my taste isn't a lot). Pretty sure I've got a load of bits from the old SW pack. I've found some decent looking accessories and I'm sure I'll be able to track down SW shoulder pads without too much trouble.

Also, I really hope we see the remaining weapons for the Terminators soon.

EDIT: If anyone has this box coming in, be careful: I had a couple of small parts come away from the sprue and nearly missed them.
