I really like the Deliverers lore, traitor Raven Guard is a very intense concept.

“Loyalist” but all my Raven Guard will wear the Raptor Imperialis to signify they are Terrans thus hated by Corax

I love the Imperial Fist and Emperor’s Children fluff (I used to play black Templars and crimson fist in 40K years ago) and my my Opponent @The_Oni_of_Hindsight is and Iron Warrior and an Iron hand player so it was a shock I went Raven Guard but that’s cause I was playing  Raptors Chapter with scouting forces.

 

but Deliverers gave me Justerians without having to play Sons of Horus so that’s a huge win in my book.

That is awesome, are they 'survivor's of the Gate Forty-Two incident or a different batch of Terrans? That is a great way to signify the difference, too.

Oh very nice, I love the Crimson Fists and Black Templars, I have a small force of them too. My very first White Dwarf was 273 and the battle report had Black Templars.

Nice on the Emperor's Children also, shame how they ended up mind haha. Obviously, I too am an Imperial Fist fan. Yeah, the lore and rules around Deliverers is fantastic, seeing them on the battlefield will be awesome. I can't wait to see yours al done.

That duncan video is hilarious, the whole problem with painting yellow over black is getting a smooth opaque layer to start and hes all "just draw the rest of the owl"

I came across this guy's tutorials, they look good to me and quite a simple/fast method. I'll be using this on my Imperial Fist's force.

First fist test model done. It’s definitely harder than Duncan makes it look! The yellow is still a bit thick for my liking but I like the tone (which is a bit darker and more mustardy than the photo suggests) so I’m happy to stick with it for my small allied detachment as I will hopefully get better at it. I’ll probably just go with the HQ, a tactical squad and a 5 man support squad or maybe a veteran squad of some kind I think.

 

 

 

PS I forgot how much I hate using transfers on rounded shoulders …

That's very nice, although sorry to hear the method wasn't as easy to do. I think that yellow looks very decent. Your detachment will look great. Awesome as usual.

Got distracted working on my latest eBay rescue….

This thing was glued together with some strong glue, wouldn’t freezer break! So lots of sawing and replacement plastic parts (that needed retooling) to get a slightly more dynamic pose. Then stripped with bio strip…

I was having a hobby sort out and looking for the bits to finish off my unbuilt HH marines. Took a while to find the sprees and I discovered 10 more unbuilt Cataphractii Terminators, 20 mk4 marines, 60 mk3 marines and 15 Custodes. 

Definitely need help

Lots of my stuff has been in storage for years, it's sort of good to have these finds but also I now am torn between using all my HH for Imperial Fists or maybe making a small allied detachment and all this choices hurts my already damaged brain haha. 

I have no idea how many points I have, now I am thinking of doing a mixed force of BA, IF and WS to defend Terra.

Don't mention them, that is an army for far down the road. Having read all the Siege of Terra books the last year or so, I am extremely inspired to do the Imperial Fists, and it would be unfair to leave out the Vth and 9th! Oh yellow and white...
