SlickSamos
I have had a load of fun destroy some really old Chaos Marines (the first fully plastic ones) and the old plastic Khorne Berserkers to liberate as much as possible. I have to say that the Khorne heads with their silly flaps removed look really good! Edit: Here are the piles of deconstructed drinking-age CSMs: The old Khorne Berserker bodies will be folded in with Mk. III bits to build Breachers and their weapons for the Assault Marines. The really old CSM parts to be folded into Tactical Marines - the Bolters are so tiny though! That looks like a very good stsrt so keep us updated! On 5/4/2025 at 9:34 PM, lokkorex said: I like the one to the right the most, the other two give salamander/alpha legion vibes. Just finished these five after pinning their feet to the bases: Also a close-up of the first five of my tactical support squad with rotor cannons: Need to trim the sabatons on the guy in the back so he more closely resembles the Master Of The Arsenal. Those Iron Warriors look very cool. The kneepads with the studs in it is a great idea. On 5/4/2025 at 9:56 PM, SlickSamos said: I've been turning Mk. VII pauldrons into Mk. VI & hand cramp... There is so much good stuff on this thread and still so many pages to go through Yes so much creative energy. Very engaging and motivating. Got some bog-standard legionnaires, my praetor, and a Leviathan all painted u Thats a great colour schemes. Not plain black but with a greenish tint. I like that. Plus they looked damaged and if they have seen things On 5/7/2025 at 12:46 PM, Pearson73 said: Great to see this flurry of activity here recently! I can echo the others in saying that no matter how small the progress, it's always nice to show it! Absolutely. Each thing we do with our models brings us one step further to completion. That is what destroyers are or should be all about. I do have some Death Guard I have to paint. Gonna do that in the next half year. Don't know if I already showed them but here they are: On 5/7/2025 at 12:46 PM, Pearson73 said: Those Kratos (Kratii/Kratoses???) look ace @Gorgoff you've got the Death Guard bone shade nailed down. The titan game looked like a tonne of fun too. I really like the dreads with the slung bolters as well, super retro. Thx a lot. Yeah a whim took me and I just tried to apply seraphim sepia on wraithbone contrast basecoat and it turned out to look very good on infantry and on the Kratosesesses I also painted the whole model with Streaking Grime from AK and removed it with a kitchen towel afterwards. That made this effect. Very easy and fast. 14 hours ago, Loquille said: Starting to feel the hobby flow again so a return to my first love was in order. But apparently I am obsessed with Dreadnoughts: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/363129-30k-hobby-chat/page/156/#findComment-6108580 Share on other sites

Looking very nice and I am very jealous of all those dreads. I have a an old Assault on Black Reach box-nought that might need to be dug out and given a fresh lease on life.
