Also deathwatch getting impulsors creates even more ability to fully utilize Primaris marines. Moving and ejecting marines with SI ammo...you're looking at huge threat range. 198 pts gets you 1 impulsor with shield dome, 2 storm bolters and hvy stubber + 5 Intercessors w/fist This is just some prelim peaks at stuff they're getting but these 2 I've been waiting for I hope we can get the full phobos range as well Incursors with special issue ammo!?!?!?! AP-3 vengeance rounds no hit mods no cover save... The only things Deathwatch are confirmed to be getting are: Angels of Death (Bolter Discipline, Combat Doctrines, et. al) 14 stratagems, of which 13 are undoubtedly the generic ones every chapter got access to 6 litanies of battle Thunder hammers and hand flamers for Intercessor sergeants. Nothing else. We are getting 4 pages in White Dwarf. 2 for stratagems 1 for litanies 1 for misc errata and rules There is not enough room for datasheets. There are not going to be the various Phobos/Vanguard units, not the Impulsor. Furthermore, there is no proof that the combat doctrines will WORK with the Vengence or Kraken rounds for the AP modifiers. Considering that bolter discipline denies working with SIA you can assume that CD will not work with SIA either. So, please do us a favor and show us your source rather than just claim something to be a universal truth when there is no official document backing up your claim. That's from the warhammer community posting today. Regarding the impulsors I did not see that there but heard it on 1 of the 3 three livestreams/podcast listened to yesterday...I waited to say anything until I saw the WC post today. Just because someone says a thing is going to happen, until it is backed up by an official source, it is pure speculation. I have no reason to believe that Deathwatch will get the Impulsor, because when it was released, there was no allowance made for Deathwatch to USE it. Every other Chapter could use it because GW said they could and provided datasheets AT RELEASE. If they wanted Deathwatch to have it, they would have done so long ago. Exactly the same with the Vanguard/Phobos units. Until GW themselves claim a thing is happening, or the pages/document are released, to get people's hopes up by saying "Hey guys, we are getting X, and Y and Z, trust me ;)" is extremely disingenuous. They didn't get doctrines, true, but everyone else had access to the full Vanguard range from the start... I have learned to ignore anything until I see rules or at least an official picture, even then its not 100% until you have the book in hand and then only for about a week or two until they change it again in the FAQ... If they do not change the actual SIA rule itself all of this is for nought as we are already ap gated. This is just one guy making a claim, and saying "A rando podcast said Deathwatch were getting the Impulsor and talking about all the other things from the WHC article a day before the WHC article came out.
