Two weeks starting tomorrow. I've been putting it off for far too long since purchasing and assembling the army when the Dex came out last year. I'm still working through quarantine, but with the inability to go and do anything besides work I've actually been able to devote time to it. Pretty happy with my output so far. Though I'm almost out of characters to paint, which will push be back in to troops. Hopefully the momentum I have built up will keep me going on those as well.

They look good. I like the muted colours, and whatever you've done with the abominant's face. And the twin magi - something about their faces looks particularly sinister.

In answer to your question, and by way of direct contrast, this is what I managed to complete in the last two weeks:

neophytes

i've got another six that I'm working on now (still putting down the base colours), with some weapon specialists and then a dozen acolytes on the horizon.

Looking forward to seeing what you do with your own troops.

Nice work Rogue. I put the finishing touches on my last familiar, sanctus and kelermorph today. Helped my son assemble a bunch of his orks today and forgot to take some pics. I will be starting on acolytes again tomorrow.

Stay safe all!

This is a great thread here!

I absolutely adore your work. I own a pretty large collection of GSC models for more than 1.5 years now but I have yet to paint a mini. Ok, I already painted 2 Leman Russes and Goliath, but these fiddly, highly detailed models – I lost faith even before I started painting.

Though I did some test painting on a Brood Brother Cadian and I think I will start painting my GSC rather soon. It will be based on some Brood Brothers squads led by a pair of Patriarchs and accompanied by some Aberrants, Kelermorphs and Sancti.

Got a bit of work done over the weekend on my GSC characters. Was invaded by a bunch of spead freaks that took up a good chunk of my time. Work on my Acolyte began again last night though and I expect to have some more completed tonight. Are the pics a little better?

Nice. The cloak on the sanctus has come up really well - it has a proper fabric sort of look.

Hannibal - if it's any help, you can cut a lot of corners with shade. I block the whole armoured torso of the neophytes in one colour, ignore almost all the cables and bits, and then let the ink pick them out. Still looks good (I think), but doesn't take ages.

Thanks! It´s not only the details, it´s also the fact that you need at least 3 colours which fit together: one for the armour, 2 others for clothes (for example: trousers and tabbards should look different). That´s a bit too much for me right now.

Nice hazard stripes on the rock saws, and always good to see Cult forces expanding.

I'm still chugging through neophytes, with another 6 finished last week:

more neophytes

They're part of the Overkill set I picked up from ebay a while back - I still have the mining lasers and grenade launchers to go, plus a dozen acolytes, four aberrants and a primus, so that should keep me going for a while (or until my mechanicus standard grey runs out).

Bit of work done over the weekend, forgot to post these up.

Aberrant with road sign (I know these aren't very good right now after the points bump, painting them for the sake of completeness and to break up the monotony of so many Acolytes and Hybrids to paint.

Speaking of which, ten of each.

Last ten hybrids are on the painting table right now, they'll give me 60 acolytes, after that 20 neophytes to go and then on to goliaths and ridge runners (most are still in the box and need some assembly).

Started work on my motor pool this weekend after finishing up the last of my Acolytes. 20 Neophytes to go, but I'm popping over to the Goliaths and Ridge Runners to keep my motivation up. I'm digging the tons of rust on the goliath and will be repainting my Sentinels to match. Thinking graffiti and or banners or posters to tie them in to the armies color scheme. C+C appreciated.

My corona quarantine effort so far.

Really enjoying the vehicle paint scheme and I must say the Ridge Runners were a lot of fun to assemble and paint. Crew will get worked on tonight, bases are still in the works but I will be running out to get some cork tonight.

Ridge Runners are done apart from the Cult Emblem done in a graffiti style. I'm wrestling with just a plain white stippling through a template of the emblem or an 80's spray paint style using a bit of the stippling and what not. At any rate, not sure how that is going to go just yet so I am calling these done for now.

I'll probably start assembling my jackal alphus and jackals tonight. Quarantine doesn't look like its ending anytime soon so I need to find some wild rider red...

Decided to change up the paint scheme a bit on my Neophytes while trying to get all of them done. Happier with them now that they are done!

Just a few aberrants to go and a squad of jackals and the army is done, can't wait.
