We are working on a couple of projects to bring rules for the Inquisition and Rogue Traders to the game.

Attached to these projects will be showcases of converted/painted miniatures and battle reports using those rules.

If you're interested in participating in either/both of these projects, please send me a PM.

Progress on both of these projects is going very well. We expect to have two versions of rules published for each:

  • Standard rules - These will be close to what we think GW might release, comparable to what we've seen with other factions.
  • Unchained! rules - These will be far more expansive than we've seen in official factions (the Inquisition rules are currently sitting at over 40 pages!). We're still trying to adhere closely to limits that GW has incorporated [as we see them], but models aren't limited to specific combinations (allowing for a lot of conversion opportunities) and there are many more unit/model choices than official factions have. We're basing as much as possible on official lore, and we're going all the way back to Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader (1st edition) and including things like what was seen in the Inquisitor game and the RPGs from Fantasy Flight Games.
The project participants are very excited by the work going on and many have found a lot of inspiration for their kill teams. We're confident that many other hobbyists will also find a lot of room for creativity in these rules, and many that may not have previously considered these factions may find inspiration to collect and play their own Inquisition/Rogue Trader kill teams.

We'll also be releasing similar sets of rules for other factions in the future, so if you have ideas for factions that you'd like to see either brought to Kill Team (i.e., factions that don't have official Kill Team rules) or fleshed out a bit more (i.e., factions whose official rules seem lackluster), feel free to provide your suggestions here. Two factions that are on our short list are the Ecclesiarchy and Lost and the Damned (though GW has given us some options with the latter).
