Hello there,

I think as you all love the Horus Heresy, we all love their participants as we love our current characters. But- to be honest, I hate the focus on Primarchs and I want to know more about all other characters in that time. Especially all mighty Heros of all those legions out there like Jubal Khan, Garro, Khârn, Aeonid Thiel.... And Corswain of course is one I want to know everything but I cannot find as much as written in contrast to Sigismund, Abaddon, Ahriman...

Where can I find some informations about him.

What was his final end and did he created a successor chapter?

Hope you can help me here

While we don't know how he died or if he founded any successor chapter, for all we know he may have gone on to lead the Dark Angels themselves after the splitting of the legions.

For someone so notable in lore, he hasn't actually gotten much 'screen-time' compared to his peers, with the most attention he's gotten being in the novella 'The Lion' and in a single page or so of the 'Holder of the Keys' 40k short story. The latter is also the only time we're really given a look at just how skilled he was in combat, but it isn't much.

Given Corswain’s status in the legion during the Heresy, it is surprising that he is virtually non-existent in any of the lore after the destruction of Caliban. He’d certainly be the candidate to be Legion Master after the loss of the Lion, and probably 1st Chapter Master of the Dark Angels. There have been plenty of codexes for GW to add Corswain into the lore, but they haven’t.

This suggests that he doesn’t survive the Destruction of Caliban...at least not with the identity of “Corswain”.

I agree with Medjugorje - having read up on all of the lore post-destruction of Caliban through to the adoption of the Codex Astartes and the Second Founding, there is a wealth of lore that would make a great book series.

Spoilers for Legacy of Caliban

One of Luthor’s more lucid comments could be interpreted as Corswain died on or didn’t make it off Caliban during its destruction. Like many such statements it seemed to be written as purposefully vague.
