well that's one I never expected to see on a list like this and I say that as someone that kinda enjoyed the book, my favorite part was probably the whole "we save humanity!" shtick of the Salamanders biting them in the ass, usually this is always presented as the 100% morally right and correct thing to do, so it was interesting to see it backfiring
