Karhedron
I am looking for advice on how to make a squad of Primaris Eliminators go further. I know several people have combined the spare arms and guns with Reiver bodies (which are much cheaper) to get extra squads of Eliminators. I am wondering how far we can take this. The images of the Eliminator Sprues are below: There are 3 cloaked bodies. If we use these as the Seargents, could you make 3 squads of 3 Eliminators if youo have enough extra bodies from the Reiver kit? There are only 3 Las Fusils so I guess we are limited to one squad of these guys. There are 6 Sniper Rifles so it would be easy to make 2 squads, possibly even 3 if you give the Sergeants Oculus Bolt Carbines. There is only 1 OCB in the kit but you could easily improvise extras from the regular Bolt Carbines in the Reiver kit. So I think you could get a maximum of 4 squads out of 1 box of Eliminators and 1 box of Reivers. 1 with Las Fusils and 3 of Snipers. Alternatively 1 of Las Fusils and 2 of Snipers if you want the Sergeants armed to match their squads. Is this the best I can manage? Does anyone have any guides or suggestions on this subject? ranulf the revenant 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/363561-how-to-make-eliminators-go-further/ Share on other sites
BadgersinHills
Thanks for making this post! As someone who thinks Eliminators are a great unit, it's good to have a little guide to put together a lot of them without breaking the wallet. Perhaps the ETB Reivers would be a good base to make new Eliminators as they don't have heads or arms attached. No carbines though, which makes it harder to get four squads. I think BCK's cloak tutorial would go a long way in making these squads look more like Eliminators. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/363561-how-to-make-eliminators-go-further/#findComment-5514198 Share on other sites
Tichinde
for my squads, I used 1 Reiver (as I had used one of the ETB guys for something else) and added some of the spares to the ETB sergeant, but I did have 2 boxes + the ETB to start with. (I wanted at least a squad of rifles and las, then realised I could use the ETB's to make another squad with alternate Sergeant loadout) Reiver on the left. added the backpack, hooded head, rifle and some extra pouches. the rolled up camo cloak I think is from a vehicle accessory sprue. (technically the Sgt in that photo shouldn't have the rifle on his back but it looked cool, and I didn't need it for anything else!) I reckon you could probably get at least 1 maybe 2 squad of "Reivereliminators" out of the spares from the box but you might need some arms as some of the builds (las or rifle) use the same arm parts. Karhedron
Thanks for the input. You are right, I had not considered arm parts. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/363561-how-to-make-eliminators-go-further/#findComment-5514251 Share on other sites
