Hey guys, have we seen an FAQ for the meager PA we got?? Do we get to keep adaptive strategy?? The strat that allows you to change your doctrine?

Not going to lie I was pretty bummed about the PA being basically nothing for us (imo) but was thinking its kind of cool if we do get to keep it because it fits with or changing missions tactics, and we don’t have a super doctrine to abuse.

I’m mostly bummed about getting nothing unique compared to other chapters, and this would give us a small bit of uniqueness.

Thanks!

Plus with 9th so close an FAQ would have to bridge the gap of the editions so I wouldn't expect one until 9th is officially here and we get all the FAQs for all the armies.

Except 9th is not close. We got previews of 8th about the same time, but it was released in summer. And that was with global situation in order, not during a pandemic which can result in further unexpected lockdowns. I wouldn't expect it before fall, seeing two brand new AoS armies got delayed and will take all the release slots over next two months at the very least.

Really, seeing GW rule writers are forced to work from home, looking at feedback and publishing FAQ remotely is perhaps one of the few things they can easily do without access to work computers, and the fact they lack common courtesy to do so speaks volumes about the DW's position on the list of priorities...

Trust us, the HOUR there is the FAQ, there will be a thread announcing it on this forum and bemoaning any changes or failures to change things. Until then, carry on as normal.

I will never understand the people who, upon getting rotten 60$ steak from waiter, whine the other people dare to find that unacceptable instead of protesting the quality of service. In any case, that's your problem, not ours.

And yeah, the gall, why people who just want to play and have fun don't like broken ruleset requiring complex negotiations before the game, all for the sake of still subpar rules? Especially seeing the opponent might not know the garbage writing and lack of effort behind the DW and, upon seeing PA stuff, will probably complain 'Wait a second, that was so broken in Codex SM they needed to FAQ it out, what do you mean DW had no FAQ yet? What are you trying to pull there? Cheat with OP rules they left untouched in obscure army? leave, find some other sucker to stomp, bye!' and will sadly be 100% right given the state of these rules before...

It seems you missed the point of my comment. The topic of the thread was as put forth by Trollbeard was, to paraphrase, "have we seen any sign or indication of the PA FAQ?"

The essence of my comment boils down to "No, we haven't, and once we do, we will be shouting it from the rooftops. Until then, do as you always have." If your usual process is to have a discussion and address how things are broken, then do so. If it isn't, then whats it matter?

Please refrain from launching personal attacks. Just because you didn't understand the point of the comment, does not give you permission to do so.
