Hi guys,

Just wanted to get your thoughts and experiences on using the bodies of cataphactii amour in place of the regular terminator armour.

I really like the cataphractii amour and want to build some and give them load-outs that I would normally give my wolf guard terminators (combi-plasma and thunder hammer or storm bolter and power fist).

Has anyone used the bodies in this fashion, and if they have is your opponent ok with you using this proxy?

yeah a small proxy/modification such as this wouldn't both me, but I have had a falling out with someone at my FLGS when I asked him if I could proxy some skyclaws as inceptors to try out their rules before I bought some, so just want to avoid another argument really

This is unfortunate as I think every player I know would have no issue with this, especially if it wasn't in a competitive match and that would be such a simple, logical, proxy.

I would have no problem with it but you may want to pitch it to your community before committing funds and models. Especially if such a stickler is among them

Luckily he is the only one that is like that and the others are very good at accepting proxies

What would be your opinion on the use of these in competitive matches? mostly likely your answer will be to ask the people in charge of the tournament but just thought I'd put the question out there

I do it, but I also make sure the gear is wysiwyg. I mix all the armors into my WG squad and I point it out pregame. Nobody has ever cared even in high level play, they usually think it’s cool and fluffy.
