Air paints

Recommended Posts

So am planning on using some Abaddon Black Air on my BL as my friend gave me the paints for my airbrush.

my question is if I use the Abaddon Black Air if I need to make touch ups later after a mistake will the regular Abaddon Black base paint be the same texture and not stand out.

So basically should I just use my Abaddon Black Base paint instead though the airbrush?

If you're worried, the obvious thing to do is get some plasticard or sprue, and to paint a bit with regular Abaddon Black, and the bit next to it with the Air version, and compare the two.  Obviously, given that the airbrush will give you a nice even finish, any mistakes in thinning the non-Air paint will be made a bit more obvious

I've not used the Air paints, but I'd be willing to bet they're a bit like the Vallejo Game/Model Air range, insofar as they [a] give the same finish as the non-Air version, and can be painted on with a brush.

Thanks for the reply. I’ll definitely have to do that. Stupid me should have thought of that before hand.
