dice4thedicegod
Does anyone run a firebase of Khârn and obliterators? Often see abaddon mentioned with obliterators but never Khârn. I know world eater obliterators won’t get access to endless cacophony but Khârn will still give full refills and is ‘only’ 120 points... Schurge
Khârn's reroll bubble is only one inch... a regular Chaos Lord would be better unless I'm missing something from a FAQ. Special Officer Doofy
Khârn let's you reroll all missed hits, a lord only let's you reroll 1's. Big difference. I mean it would make the obliterators better but Khârn won't do much himself then that game. My WE friend usually moves Khârn up the board and then drops in those newer red butcher terminators. Never seen him babysit a fire base. dice4thedicegod
I was thinking more of a mobile fire base. Even if the oblits advanced, he’d keep them pretty accurate... and could move into melee by mid game Schurge 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/364145-obliterators-and-kh%C3%A2rn-firebase/#findComment-5529260 Share on other sites
Irate Khornate
He's pretty handy in a tight spot, but getting him up the board to a good spot with your obliterators to deepstrike in would be the hard part. Relentless
Are oblits worth the points for WE since they cant shoot twice? You could get 2 havoc squads for the same price, or 8 termies with chainfists fighting twice Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/364145-obliterators-and-kh%C3%A2rn-firebase/#findComment-5529655 Share on other sites
dice4thedicegod
2 havoc squads are only 10 w at 3+ save, seems like 3 oblits would have a bit of a durability advantage? As well as being able to fight a little in melee. Probably depends on what exactly is targeting them. Scion
I have seen this happen in competitive games. With him babysit re-roll a trio of predators around him (triangle) with kill shot stategem active. I think thats a more effective set up. After this first turn one predator most likely will be destroyed and this lets Khârn move up or act as a counter charge deterrent in your back field.
