Links to threads

This isn't a suggestion, so much as a question I couldn't find an answer to in the 101 forum.

 

Is there a way to link to a thread (specifically, the WIP thread for my Necron Dynasty in my signature) that automatically goes to the last page or latest post?  I know the forum generates links to the first unread post on topics, is there a code to use for that?  Or would I need to just update my link every time a new page gets added to the thread to achieve this?

Hover over one of the links on my sig - you can see the 'get new post' part on the end. So add ?view-getnewpost to the end of your thread link and that should do it :tu:

Yes, the view=getnewpost query is what you need as it will always direct the user to their first unread post. I also use it in my sig links, in case you're interested there's also view=getlastpost which goes to the most recent post
