Mike Brandt - Secret Raven Guard Fan?

I was watching the Preview Saturday and was excited to see Mike Brandt on there. If you don't know he's one of the best ITC IG players in the US, possibly the world, he's also a super nice guy and I love when he's on any podcast I listen too. His new job is awesome, but what I thought was even cooler was he had a Raven Guard banner on his door in the background:

 

 

I've heard him say he plays Dark Angels when he plays marines so I'm not sure why he has that specific banner. I listen to another show where the host is good friends with Mike, and that host is a Raven Guard player, so maybe that's how it made it onto his door? Regardless I thought it was neat and cool to see, among all the other awesome news that was dropped during the preview.

I don't know if the OP will read this, but you're a clever fellow. The close friend is Dan B, who runs the 40K badcast, and had way better A/V gear than me. I did my part of the preview from his place.

I was just coming here to post this. I listened to the most recent Badcast episode and Dan was talking about that. I keep trying to figure out my identity based on the show and as it currently stands I guess I'm a weeb who likes metal since I could care less for ska and sports.

 

Also congratulations on your new role! I'm hoping to one day make it out to NOVA!

Thanks for the kind words, and it's a great show. I've listened since they started and there is only one episode where they crossed a line and since then they've been spot on. The badcast and the ICs are my two favorite casts to listen to. Edited June 5, 2020 by thewarriorhunter

I'm traditionally terrible at listening to podcasts. Dan is among my one or two very best "real life" friends, his wife is my wife's very best friend of fifteen years, and I *still* haven't listened ty the badcast. I think it's a meme within our friendship.

 

At any rate, I'm actually a fair bit of a Blood Angel fan. Don't tell anyone here though!

You really should listen because he talks to highly of you in almost every episode, it's actually my favorite segment of the show.

 

Also, we have photographic evidence that you're a Son or Corax, we'll cover for you.
