So I’m working on a little fortress. It’s about 17inch square, and about 5.5 inches tall so far (going to add a tower that’s another layer taller. I’ve been learning a lot of this as I go along, and thankfully a friend gave me a lot of his supplies so some of that has come very much in handy. Here’s my question.

How do i go about supporting a floor for this larger section? I’ve got more of the pink foam, I could put a few pieces in there to act as “pillars” but I’m wondering I should do that or stack them some more. I don’t have enough to stack them up, and I don’t know if that will be the best option or not. Any help is appreciated.

Bonus question, what can I do on that white panel to make it look less plain other than adding the door?

This is shaping up nicely.

Regarding supporting the larger section's floor, do you have any other materials you could use to build "pillars"? Maybe some wooden planks you can cut to the right height (contra: it can be quite heavy)? Or sections from an old broom handle? Or honeycomb cardboard which is rigid and lightweight (there is typically plenty of these with IKEA furnitures)? I would then top the pillars with a layer of the pink foam and add the floor on top of that. MDF could be used as well (thinking 6mm thickness here). You can probably also buy more pink foam from a DIY store.

Regarding the bonus question, in addition to the suggestions made by BadgersinHills, you could add some lights, maybe an icon or shield with some heraldry, a small reliquary with skulls (because you can never have enough skulls :biggrin.: ). You can also add plasticard or cardboard to suggest reinforced plating, with rivets of course.
