Glute
What paint (Base or Layer) is close to Thousand Sons Blue? I can't seem to find any at my local hobby shop. Thanks Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/364196-thousand-sons-blue/ Share on other sites
HighMarshalAmp
I've been down that road. Not much comes close, really, with everything being either too blue or too green. I found Vallejo Falcon Turquoise to be a nice alternative, you could mix in some Vallejo Magic Blue to get a shade of blue that's virtually indistinguishable from the real deal. You'd need a bottle with a ml or oz scale though, drip counting ain't as reliable, and you'd need to write down your formula. Start at 1:12 Blue: Turquoise. But I think there's a better solution. You obviously want to support your FLGS instead of ordering online, kudos for that, and they don't stock a GW product you want. You could just ask them to order it for you. If they stock any GW, they can get you Citadel products as well. If they won't do it, they don't deserve these 2 Bucks anyway and you're better off cutting your losses and buying that one item somewhere else instead of settling for sub-par paint to accomodate their whims. Fajita Fan
You mean just GW? Going off brand this chart is pretty handy, I used it for magenta which can be hard. https://redgrimm.github.io/paint-conversion/index.html Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/364196-thousand-sons-blue/#findComment-5533871 Share on other sites
