Brother Kraskor
Honoured brothers, Apologies if this has been previously covered. I was wondering if the effects of the Warlord trait and relic in the title work in concert, but I'm not sure. The relic puts enemy psykers at -1 to cast within 18", and adds a mortal wound penalty if they fail to cast. Warlord trait allows warlord to Deny the Witch within 24", and does so with a +1. But for the mortal wound penalty, the wording of the relic is "if the psychic power is not successfully manifested". Does a psychic power count as successfully manifested if they pass their roll, but then afterwards it is Denied? Or does that count as not successfully manifested, and therefore the mortal wounds apply? All hinges on whether Denying is merely 'resisting' and nullifying the effects of a power, or preventing it from being 'successfully manifested' in the first place. My thanks for your counsel brothers. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/364306-epitome-of-piety-reliquary-of-gathalamor/ Share on other sites
Acebaur
Yes it counts if you deny. Unfortunately there are much better relics to take so this one gets a pass 99% of the time.
