Charlo
Greetings Brothers and Sisters, in his name I'm looking into starting Sisters for 9th Ed and The Bloody Rose have taken my fancy, +1A and -1AP in combat (and Pistols!) sounds like a really fun build that also takes advantage of priests, imagifiers and other buffs. Even St. Kat with her +1 to hit in combat could be a gas. Has anyone ran a (mostly) combat army for Sisters? How did it do? Any cool tips or synergies? Repentia feel like they will be nuts with these rules charging out of a Rhino! A Blob of 20 Sisters could feel akin to power armoured Orks with the right buffs and not have to worry about morale too much with the faith dice mechanic. ATPete
Bloody rose are supposedly very good running repentia. I can imagine celestians would be good too, getting to re-roll all missed hits with a canoness nearby and having the buffs from bloody rose would make them a tough old unit in combat. Other picks that work best for bloody rose seem to be Zephyrim, who can work with their zephyrim penant and other squads to ensure they get a charge off. Independent of Bloody Rose you've got arco-flagellants and mortifiers that can provide a really powerful close combat or counter close combat threat. I'm quite a fan of mortifiers in the games I play (1000pts) because it's frequently a choice whether my opponent focuses on them or another threat, so they can survive and do damage more reliably.
