Quick question:

How come our Librarian in Terminator Armour cannot take a storm shield but the Legendary/Index version can?

I’ve seen some people say that as it’s an option in the index we still get it but I don’t know if that’s an official stance.

I’d just love to convert / magnetise an option for my new limited edition Librarian but don’t see the point if it can’t be used in game at some point.

Thanks.

So does that mean if I wanted to field a terminator librarian with a storm shield I'd use the legends data slate - and therefore lose access to the DA specific psychic powers and the DEATHWING keyword?

No.

The Codex Datasheet overrides the Index's. Legends is for Wargear options for models in a Codex with a Datasheet.

Thanks.

As I understand it, the only effect is not that, but rather, that the model cannot be used in tournaments or against opponents that do not allow for legend options.

Thanks.

Not even that. It's not RECOMMENDED for tournaments because Legends rules and Model points are locked permanently

But an opponent who doesn't allow Legends sounds like someone with a stick up somewhere the sun don't shine, so they likely wouldn't be fun to play against anyways

So essentially it’s a case of use our codex (complete with DEATHWING keyword and Interromancy powers) and if I want to stick a storm shield on him, I can using (I’m guessing l) the storm shield cost from our codex.

The ability to actually take a storm shield is the only thing taken from the Legends, everything else is from ours?

Unless I want to run him in that set up in a tournament in which case

A ) I probably won’t be aiming to win with his inclusion in a list

but more importantly

B ) I’d just need to check it’ll be allowed under their rules

Is that the correct understanding?
