I have decided to build and paint the DW models i had around in a box so this is what i gathered

1 Killteam cassius box

1 Venerable dread

2 boxes of veterans

4 vanguard veterans

4 bikes

4 Terminators (1 DA, 1 BA, 1, SW, 1 BT)

1 sprue for each main chapters (DA, BA, SW, UM, BT)

4 DW upgrades sprues

5 Intercessors

5 hellblasters

5 reivers

3 aggressors

3 inceptors

1 Watch Master

1 Artemis

2 rhinos

1 LR

1 Corvus

now i will use the various models to build

i am building a Close Combat oriented squad and i wanted to know what's the best loadout for a blackshield marine to put into that squad (i was thinking TH and SS for him)

Looks like a solid core of minis there for a DW army.

When it comes to black shields I never arm them with stormshields. Why? Because hes a combat monster if tooled right and must heroically intervene. I arm mine with powermauls or poweraxes and a stormbolter for allround dakka. When I meet chaff armies like imperial guard I also use twin lighting claws. Let the regular Vets tank wounds on their stormshields in the killteam instead, that is their "job" in a vet killlteam.

Agreed on stormshield usage. Always give them to the least valuable members of the squad where possible since they’ll be the ones having wounds allocated. Guys like vanguard vets, black shields and the sergeant are where I might give a weapon upgrade instead of a SS since they’ll be around the longest.

Thanks for suggestions

My Friends play CSM, eldar, necron, SM, AdMech and tyrs

I think that the Power weapons and SB combo will be the best

He will go around in a squad with a xenoblade sgt and SS guys to protect them

What worries me is that the KT are based on 5 Veterans/Intercessors and adding other members to the teams Meana that blast weapons can do a bigger amount of shots on my squads
