Do Sisters of Silence take up slots?

Per Talons of the Emperor in War of the Spider I can take a SoS unit in a Custodes detachment without violating any of the Battle-forged bonuses etc. Does the SoS unit take up a org slot? 

 

I've been wanting to start a Valerian + Aleya army since the models came out but the rules mess has kept me away. I was hoping War of the Spider would clear thing up but it just seems like more of a mess.

 

Also, I'm not a competitive player at all but I'd just like to have a legal Battle-forged army that I don't need my opponent's permission to use. This confused man thanks you in advance!

You can include as many Sisters of Silence units in a Custodes army as you want, they just don't break any rules of "must only contain Custodes units" rules. There's nothing that says they don't take unit slots, so they still take up slots.
