Hey guys!

So I went and bought the Deimos pattern mk1 predator bundle that they have on forge world. Which is the best way to arm them or would it make the most sense to magnetize the weapon options? I know in the heresy most people don’t use predators and I typically don’t in my list (iron warriors iron fire is typically what I run). I bought the models because I liked the look and old school feel. Thanks for any and all advice in advance.

Cheers

Skidman

I ordered some as well my plan is to magnetize them so I can switch from rhin to predator and in one case at least to whirlwind scorpius.

Autocannons are propably the most interesting choice as you can use them as troops in an armoured breakthrough list then. Plasma does look very good for hunting ap2 and the occasional tank.

Personly i plan on doing the Armoured Breakthrough RoW sooner or later but intend to use Kromlech stuff for the looks.

If you want to run Armoured Breakthrough you need Autocannons cause your compulsory troop Preds can only have Autocanons as the main gun.

You cant take the twin linked Lascanon, as this option doesnt exist in the Heresy.

All other weapons could be usefull depending on your play style.

Only the Heavy Conversion Beamer is a bit odd as you cant move and fire and need to keep a distance.

With Predators, there's two ways I like to field them: Autocannons in armoured breakthrough, or Executioner Plasma Cannons for heavy support shenanigans. The Melta and Conversion Beamer weapons are a little lack-luster compared to those, but if you can outflank them then the Melta *might* work.

Magnetizing the sponsons is definitely a solid idea though, as swapping between them can work well depending on what you are fielding.
