General Strike
I'm planning to make an ethereal blue ghost army. I am going to do Wraith bone, with Terradon Turquoise contrast, then I want to dry brush a darker blue on the lower parts, and a paler lighter blue on the higher parts. What colors would you suggest for the dry brushing? Should I do a wash? What wash would you recommend. I want it to be as bright as possible, because I plan down the line to add a texture paint on the flat surfaces to make it appear to be cracking through. Rik Lightstar
Temple Guard Blue as the darker shade and Baharoth Blue for the lighter tone. Coelia Greenshade would work well for the recesses to keep the turquoise feel going, or Drakenhof otherwise, but either way you want to keep them pretty well thinned. Fajita Fan
Terradon is a pretty intense color so I’d really thin it down and use multiple coats. If you want it brighter I’d actually spray it white, contrasts really pop on white primer. You might even consider thinned aethermatic blue for your top areas then add thinned terradon farther down. I used thinned athermatic right on 3D printed marble filament for easy fountains. Contrasts are also not durable so be aware you’ll need to varnish them.
