Astartes Consul
So there isn't (yet) a dedicated RoW for a Destroyer Company. While I'm assuming that Book 9 will at least have something like this for Dark Angels, and the wording of the Angels Tears entry on Book 8 suggests room has been left for a generic RoW that allows Destroyers as troops, I'm interested in building a small Destroyer themed force at some point. So, what are people's thoughts on the RoW that might work for this? My initial thoughts would be Pride of the Legion (Veterans with lots of special weapons, painted in Destroyer colours as Troops) or maybe Orbital Assault? Bung
You dont need much RoWs for this. Just use Assault Squads as troops, they come close to Destroyers in equipment. zedmeister
See, I always thought that Destroyers should have some sort of role you select when you choose them based on the Nuclear, Chemical and Biological (NCB) triad. So, for example, you choose Nuclear and you get Rad Grenades, Rad Missiles and depleted bolt rounds that make them something like Banestrike rounds. Chemical gives you access to Phosphex Bombs and phosphex flamers. Finally, biological will give you access to some sort of horrific Virus munitions. Virus Grenades, poisoned weapons, maybe something like the Dark Angels molecular acid rounds and the like. This could be done for the rite of war itself, in addition to making Destroyers troops, you should have to designate a destroyer unit with one of the roles listed above. In addition, other units could get access to phosphex rounds and the like. As for restrictions, I'd say it's a limit on elites. You wouldn't put your best units in with a force whose whole role is to be disposable and to salt the earth, irradiate it, burn it, etc Indefragable 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/364989-destroyer-company-rites-of-war/#findComment-5558229 Share on other sites
