Filius Posted July 11, 2020 Share Posted July 11, 2020 Dear Astartes, I keep wondering what those red, glassy looking things are that can be found on the hatches of Rhinos, Razorbacks and Land Raiders … http://dark-and.grim.rocks/wp-content/uploads/sites/4/2020/07/what-are-those.jpg They look as if they are made of glass … but they seem to big for camera /visor lenses and their position is a bit strange for a searchlight.So: Does anyone know, what they are good for?Thanks a lot in advance! Brother Tyler Posted July 11, 2020 Share Posted July 11, 2020 I've always assumed they were just (bulletproof) glass that allows someone standing beneath the turret to look out of it, similar to those seen in this armoured amphibious assault vehicle. You can see similar panes on the Stryker fighting vehicle, the LAV-25, and the AAVP7.
