Blank Dave
I'm chewing my way through the omnibus book of Honsou, and I've come across a bit of a "wait...what...golly gee did that happen?" I had finished Storm of Iron and The Enemy of My Enemy, where some IG had been captured and had been put to work for the IW. Then they were shipped out on a demon train, only to be sprung by a group of renegades, including a RG. But in The Herclitus Effect, Honsou's sporting a new arm and eye, hanging with the above RG and co, and nursing a major hate on for someone called Veratis. Clearly something happened between books, but what the was it? If it was in another book, what book was it? I'm a completionist, and it's irritating me to no bloody end as to what I missed. Dagoth Ur
Don't quote me on this one - its been quite a few years since I read Honsou's storyline - but I believe what you are missing is some of the Ultramarine novels. The one's centered on Captain Uriel Ventris' exploits and the Daemonculaba. DarkChaplain
Yep, it's Dead Sky, Black Sun, book 3 of the Ultramarines series. The two series also converge again later in the Ultramarines books. Tarvek Val
The two Ultramarines omnubi (also by Graham McNeil) tie into the events of the Iron Warriors omnibus. I'll throw in the links to both sets of books on the official Black Library site. I like the physical copies, if anything you can throw them at people who annoy you. DarkChaplain
There should be no shortage of used copies either, especially since this is the 3rd(?) edition of the two omnibuses. I own the original duo, on top of the first three novels in German from Heyne (god, I'm glad they're publishing on their own now, rather than going through Heyne, which should never publish international scifi in the first place) and the next two in MMPBs. They've republished the series numerous times by now, and even if the omnibuses on BL are currently ebook only, all it'll do is put them on break til they reprint them.... probably with yet another set of covers.
