Dwango
I'm looking to get the above, mainly for cleaning my airbrush but I may expand into stripping models. Does anyone have any suggestions on what type to get and what size to get it in please? Firedrake Cordova
I have a discontinued James model (7000), I think I got from Machine Mart, which seems to work well enough, although it's only had light use. Alternatively, Vallejo used to "make" (re-brand) one, so one with similar specs to that? It's not on Vallejo's site any more (best I could find was this), but it looks like it's one of these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/CWE-SKYMEN-JP-Ultrasonic-Professional/dp/B07MJZ5V53/ref=sr_1_6?dchild=1&keywords=ultrasonic+cleaner+890&qid=1594880973&sr=8-6 One thing I would say is do not let there be any metal-on-metal contact, or it will end ... expensively (for your airbrush). Personally, I only use it for cleaning the nozzle. Dwango
Cheers for the advice firedrake. I shall scour amazon and ebay to see if I can find something similar over here. The metal on metal is a good call. Hadn't really considered the issues with that! Firedrake Cordova
I shall scour amazon and ebay to see if I can find something similar over here. As you're UK-based, it's probably also worth looking at CPC Farnell as well (for the successor model to mine, they were cheaper than Amazon or e-Bay). The metal on metal is a good call. Hadn't really considered the issues with that! Yeah, those micro-vibrations really add up. Thankfully, they should come with a plastic basket to put things in, and you can also do things like put things in little jars full of water, and put many of those in the cleaner.
