Iron Father Ferrum
In which case there's technically two current plastic lord kits, the DV Kranon and the Blackstone Obsidius Malex. The BL jump pack is pretty popular conversion fodder and I've seen a few generic terminator lords made from Abaddon too to get that bigger, more imposing stature on the table. Irate Khornate
I was referring to the power armoured model. Wouldn't personally purchase the Termi lord box anyway because I think it looks poor alongside the newer kits. Were it to be replaced though we are admittedly unlikely to get one with as many parts/options as the older MP kits Here's something I've done which helped out the Terminator Lord kit tremendously. Use the arms from the new CSM Terminator kit. I was shocked just how much that arm swap improved the model over all and brought it up to par. I interchanged the bits to make my Sorcerer and Terminator Champion Edited August 19, 2020 by Elazar The Glorified Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/365244-the-chaos-space-marine-unit-troop-in-9th/page/5/#findComment-5588193 Share on other sites
Xenith
Been a while since I frequented the Chaos forums as I worked on my BA, but great to see the boundless enthusiams and hobby dominating conversions are still there. On CSM squads - I have a pretty decent mix so can try out a few builds, but I see my old faithful since 3rd ed, 2xplasma+combi plas will still be useful - though with overheats losing 2 wounds with a destroyed model, they're a bit more risky. I'm feeling that there are fewer D2 melee weapons, and even then they're maybe 1 to a unit, so perhaps CSM will be better off in combat this edition rather than shooting? From playing Thousand Sons, there are plenty of D2 ranged weapons that can be thrown around to negate any bonus the extra wound gives. Hopefully, CSM still have an advantage over cultists, though if they go up to 18pts and cultists stay at 5, then you're getting 3W for every 2 a csm provides... I would love them to produce it one again just to get away from the Lord of tubes.
