So random question how do you locate decals that work for the Scars right shoulder? I've got buckets of icons that work on dark surfaces from the kits but almost none that are red.

I am aware that the White Scars upgrade pack is an option but that feels like a lot of upgrade packs across a force.

Is there a different way to request that? I'll poke around more on the site.

Looks like all the custom stuff is done over on their parent site under customs, and they do color matched squad markings for 15$

And you can add just that to the cart, and not have to do a custom sheet for 45$.  They don't really express that, but I had a friend do that, as he was like you and just needed the colored squad markings.

Sorry for the late reply, but the mighty brush https://www.themightybrush.com/ also does some very nice tactical symbol decals in red. Thankfully they are in a darker red than the ones from the WS upgrade set, which is hideously washed out compared to how my reds are painted.

I still use the upgrade pack decals. At least you get a good number of them (10), and 10 shoulder pads for troops. The UM one is half of that.

But yea the icon on the right shoulder is a little too bright. I find dulling it down with the weathering helps. I ended up buying 2 sheets of FW White Scars decals just for the left shoulder chapter icon.

Honestly though I have some models with the plastic shoulder pad, and I don't know how it's going to look with some FW icons mixed in there???

Forge world decals are the best ones I have used, they are solid. I believe they are thinner material than the GW decals, so with microset/microsol or some other equivalent product, they go on really well.

The GW decals as is in the upgrade kits I don't think are a good investment.
