Kiroth Sub sector m.42. The untold billions of faithful prepare to defend their hives against the Imperials in the name Hypatos and their esoteric beliefs.

 

 

 

This will be a painting log where document the raising of the billion strong militia the has been raised to to defend against the Black Templars of the Lazaruz crusade and their Imperial Fist allies. The army will be based on the Hivecult and built in such a manner as to be the mechanised millitia raised by the Hypatos om their billions. Making up for their lack in first rate equipment by fervent belief in their new religion centered on Kosm and the Hypatos.

No it's blue and sickly green. but that picture conveys the wrongness that I want this army to have. When people walk past a table with this army on it they should do a double take of "is that a guard army... no."

Speed paint test of some militia, I want to have a lot of sickly hues like sea green, brown/green and pallid moist skin tones. They are facing the Imperium remnants in the desert ruins of their hives but are the rumors of a subterranean sea below the hive cities true?

Nice work, thanks for sharing! I especially like the rust effects on the guns, it really captures the ragtag militia vibe and ties in nicely with the 'emerged from the depths' armour colour
