Working from home, and the occasional mandated quarantine, is really getting old. To combat my growing boredom, I'm building a new Kill Team. I've never played Orks before and I've always wanted to try them out. Maybe sometime next year I'll get to.

Loudgob isn't necessarily the smartest grot in the camp, but thanks to his "shouta" he is a natural Leader. Perfect for cutting through the din of battle with helpful suggestions, like "Shoot da ugly one!" and "Sneak over der!"

The body is one of Mek Boss Buzzgob's grot 'elpers with the arm of a bog-standard plastic gretchin.

Thank you both!

Nothing to see here - just an ammo crate, definitely not a Scout specialist.

Sneaky is a member of Forge World's now-OOP Gretchin Crew (originally dragging a mortar shell), stuffed into a hollowed-out crate from the Sector Imperialis Objectives set.

HaHa awesome work, made me chuckle, so great to see the Fun Army of 40k being done well in killteam.

...havin dat grot lead em is sneaky guood cos e cant be seen so well right   an's u cant shoot wot u cant sees roight...

Squintz is the team Sniper.  50% of the time he hits every time, all the way out to 12".

He's your standard plastic Gretchin.  His scope is a combination of an old Space Marine bolter scope with a bit from a Traktor Kannon, and the loudener is an exhaust pipe from the OG Manufactorum set.

'Ardgit is one Heavy grot and earns every bit of that 6+ save.  He's been cobbled together with parts from Scarscrag Snivellers Blood Bowl goblins, with a head from a plastic Gretchin and a pistol from the very old Gorkamorka Ork Boyz sprue.

Shoota is a Veteran member of the Kill Team.  The body and head are from the Mek Gunz kit, with the arms from one of Kromlech's Goblin Scrap Tank Commanders.

Cool grots don't look back at explosions.

Thank you!  Today's teammate is a little simpler:

Earz is the resident Comms expert, which is fitting since he's functionally deaf.  This member of Forge World's Gretchin Crew set was just about perfect.  The only minor addition was an aerial from... you know, I'm not exactly sure where this came from.  I have a very bad habit of snapping delicate bits - for example, the now-missing handcrank handle on the radio - so this one is metal.

Great stuff, do you have any really thin copper wire?, you could wind it round that aerial to make it look more “orky”...

Or more like something desperate Astra Militarum servicemen will do to get their communications systems fuctional. Excellent idea; I'll keep it in mind when I make my own models.

That's a really interesting idea - I took your advice, and I think it looks great!

On to today's addition:

"Sumthin's not right 'bout that grot..."  This Madlad is the Fanatic of the team - he's been hitting the tiger blood pretty hard, and it's definitely affected his mind.  The body is of an Ork Steroid Grot from Wargame Exclusive and the head is from the Boomdakka Snazzwagon hood ornament.

Its more likely a reference to Charlie Sheen going off the deep end and some of the nonsense he spouted in doing so.

They look great, but IMHO Madlad should have kept his original head, as its very evocative.

Though, I think you need to change your thread name, as an all grots killteam and "win at all costs" would seem to be mutually exclusive. :)  That said, awesome team so far.

Yup, it's a Charlie Sheen reference. The original head was certainly much more emotive, but there's something about Wargame Exclusive's goblins that don't quite match those of either GW or FW.  And, as Bjorn correctly pointed out, I couldn't resist a Bane reference.

Oi, them's fightin' words!

The next member of the team found a medkit while foraging - that means that he gets to be the Medic now!  Dok Kutta's body and arms were sourced from the Mek Gunz kit and his head is from the Gretchin kit.  The medkit is from a box of Tempestus Scions, with a replacement handle from... I think from a Baneblade or Leman Russ, I'm not really sure.  The syringes are leftover from Madlad.
