Kastor Krieg
For a primitive sketch - imagine red lines. Mark with a tiny notch where blue circles indicate. Cut along green lines. Once the cuts are made, file down the "corners" so that they are flush with the rest of the blade edge. My execution turned out like this: Marshal Mattias 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/365497-ec-vs-judiciar/page/3/#findComment-5576602 Share on other sites
UtariOnzo
I've been staring at the Judiciar sword, hobby knife in hand, but haven't taken the plunge yet. Anyone have some pointers how I should make the cuts? Sketch out a point on the plastic itself with paint or a pen. Start with two lines, one horizontal across the blade where the point ‘starts’ and one going down the middle following the moulded in rise. From there you can ‘black in’ or sketch lines for the cuts themselves and know they’re symmetrical. Given the meat of the blade, you probably want a shallow taper (that is, a longer point) but the benefit of sketching in the cuts is that you can modify the shape as much as you want before you commit!
