Black Templar: Army Comp/Design and input requested

Recommended Posts

Yeah, since phobos is essentially a dressed down version of the same mk. X armor, the smaller pauldron, is essentially them leaving the larger top pauldron off. I can't imagine the under pauldron being white as well.

Thoughts on my infiltrators' having one black pauldron and one white pauldron?

That's what I'm planning on doing if I get any Infiltrators. My Reivers also only have one white pauldron, though it's the little one as they've got a big studded pad where the large one would normally go.

Awesome, I appreciate the feedback.  Now I just have to figure out what decal will go on that shoulder.  I'm not sure I want a white templar cross on it...we'll see what options I get from mighty brush.

The relevant tactical sign in white seems like the simplest transfer to apply.

Is this some sort of Codex Astartes joke I'm too Black Templar to understand?

"Dear Filthy Xenos Scum:

Meet your new instructor, Judiciary Benedict Pius XIV.

He'll be maintaining office hours all week after lecture for those who need private tutoring regarding the Galaxy. Or, more specifically, how you have no place in it.

Tutelage is free, but, reportedly, very painful."

If you're looking for hourglass advice, here's how I did mine:

  • layer up Gauss Blaster Green to get an even base colour
  • shade Coelia Greenshade
  • glaze back up GBG to give a soft highlight
  • fine lines of White Scar to give a sharp highlight that emphasises the shape of the hourglass
