Burni
I should be getting a Conquest sourced Repulsor in the near future. I hadn’t planned on getting one, was going to stick to Impulsors and add Gladiators with the new codex. But it was hard to resist a bargain. So now I have to decide on how to arm it (I don’t think I’ll be patient enough to magnetise it, if I’m honest). With the Gladiator coming, I’m thinking that keeping it cheap is best? Focus on it as a big transport? Even keep the autolaunchers for survivability? And skip any optional weapons? Or am I doing it wrong? Ultimately I’m nothing like a competitive player, so anything will work but I do like to be reasonably sensible with my builds. Xenith
How are you going to arm your gladiators? Primaris have a lack of ranged anti tank, so having both repulsor and gladiator with anti tank stuff seems like an ok choice to me. If in doubt, magnetise, i heard it's pretty easy with the repulsor. Cruor Vault
It's very easy to magnetize all the weapon options. Each Frag Assault Launcher/Storm bolter is a plate that fits over the little turrets, a small magnet in the mini turret and a strip of metal would make for quick swaps. The main weapons are even easier, as you can cut off the guiding nubs, then place a large magnet in the back of the weapon. tychobi
You are doing it wrong. Magnets for now for the future forever. Lazy building will bite you later 100%. painting.for.my.sanity
If you really feel too lazy to magnetise, Hachette sell the individual magazines and sprues on their website (I believe you want #77 for an extra turret). Gothical
Whilst magnetizing is probably the ideal solution, I had pondered this myself. In the end I figured that I would want the Gladiators for armour-hunting (leaning toward short-range over sniper), given that if you arm the Repulsor with the Heavy Onslaught Canon, Twin Heavy Bolter, Pintle Onslaught Cannon and as many Storm Bolters as you can (I ignore the Stubber on the turret - looks naff and Marines shouldn't be using primitive tech in my opinion) it comes fairly close to matching the firepower of the anti-infantry Gladiator, whilst also being a cheap load-out. Since I would be transporting either Hellblasters or combat unit(s) the anti-horde firepower helps them from being over-run by enemy counter-attacks. Burni
Thanks for the answers all. I've magnetised a lot of things of the years (started with the old Tau suits). But I find that if it doesn't sit exactly right, it annoys me and eventually I just glue it. I know I should get over it, but I can't. I'll take a look at the kit when it arrives. For example, I did all my AT Reaver arms but the fact that they wobbled or spun even slightly meant, in the end, I just striped off the magnets and picked a load out to glue. SufficientAnonymity: Do you know if that sprue has the complete turret? Or are bits on the other sprues? I'm Primaris only, so I know AT is an issue. But now with Eradicators, Gladiators and maybe las-fusils, I didn't feel it was something I needed to address with the Repulsor also? I'll likely go with what Blindhamster points out - just pick what looks good, but thought I'd get some opinions as to whether there's a recommended load out these days (I Goggled it but it's all from when it first came out). And don't forget the forthcoming ATV with the (apparently) buffed multimelta. However I take you point that Primaris now seem to have adequate anti-tank. Given that units can split fire, I feel there is some value in opting for mixed armaments rather than putting all your eggs in one basket. Given that the Twin Lascannon has come down to 40 points, I tend to favour this over the Twin Heavy Bolters, especially as the OGC and HOGC provide plenty of anti-infantry firepower for the points. Conversley the Las-Talon is 5 points cheaper but has only half the range of the Twin Lascannon. Here is how I built my Conquest Repulsor but I admit I did magnetise the main guns (just in case). Burni
That looks amazing! If mine ends up half as good, I'll be a happy man.
