Kill teams from all one chapter?

Is there any lore precedent for this? I'm thinking of doing an all black consuls team to show the chapter's strong ties to the deathwatch from the days of when the chapter was thought lost.

I've been planning an all-Last Wall kill team for a while now. Not the same as all from a single chapter, though.

 

I don't know of any precedent, but you have a good narrative for doing it. Go for it.

Hmm, generally lore wise I think they separate brothers from the same chapters into different kill teams to provide different strengths/cover each others deficits.

 

It also stands to reason that through attrition and need to fill kill teams brothers from the same chapter would inevitably end up together, even if just in the short term. This would be especially true for chapters that have a strong tie to the DW. So it would make sense to me from that perspective.

 

Either way though it’s your minis/your kill team so you can have your watch fortress operate however they want. My “Deathwatch” are an IH Indomitus successor chapter that were all seconded to the Watch mid crusade scattered across the galaxy into different kill teams only to be slowly picked up and reformed by their original Chapter Master (with the help a powerful Xanthite Inquisitor covenant).
