I was randomly looking on the GW UK site, and noticed that a couple of things were either discontinued or missing:

  • Rynn's World Air War Campaign Book - "sold out online" (electronic version is still available)
  • Ork / Imperial Navy Cards - missing
  • Ork / Imperial Navy Dice - missing

I don't know if I'm reading too much into things, but all of the above are made by third parties for GW (the book and cards are printed in China), so maybe it's a result of GW trying to free up production capacity over there?

If anyone wants/needs any of the above, Wayland Games and Goblin Gaming still have some stock (of varying levels) of all of it - other shops may also still have some stock.

The loss of the rynns world book is a big issue unless they reprint the Ork and imperial lists from it elsewhere.

The thunderbolt rules can be found in the FAQ.

Maybe they are planning and AI annual like they did for Kill team and Blackstone fortress last year to compile everything in one place?

Thanks for this. I just ordered myself a set of each type of card from Goblin Gaming.

Glad it was of help :smile.:

Indeed.  I'm not sure quite what their plan is at the moment - we can but hope there is an on-going plan for support.  They do seem to be cutting a few surprising products at the moment (Basilicanum, Thermic Plasma Conduits, Easy-to-Build kits, Kor'sarro Khan[!] etc)

GW's books and terrain are made in China, as well as some (or all?) of their easy-build kits, from memory. There was mention in emails from forgeworld about missing terrain, that they're possibly held up when it comes to shipments until September or so. That may be a factor when it comes to the Rynn's World book, which is likely a low quantity product by GW standards.

Yup, I said that in the opening post :smile.:

That would've led to it being shown as "Temporarily out of stock Online", rather than "Sold out online", or straight-up removed from the product catalogue, I'd have thought..?  Looking at some of the discontinuations (Khan), part of me wonders whether there's a repack coming with the new logo...

My mistake. Had forgotten that!

And yeah, it's definitely odd. But I've noticed weird inconsistencies with how GW labels out-of-stock products. So is just my guess anyway? Alternatively, perhaps it's being phased out physically past its opening print run.
